形態特徵

• Vines with slender branches; branchlets reddish, cobwebby-tomentose when young but becoming glabrate later; buds slightly cinnamon-colored, tomentose.
• Leaves long-petiolate; petioles 2.5–9 cm long, slender; blades triangular-ovate, 5.2–13 cm long, 4–9 cm wide, apex acute or subacuminate to long-acuminate, subentire or slightly angular, base widely rounded-sinuate, sinus 2–4.3 cm wide, 0.5–1 cm deep, or base subtruncate, chartaceous, upper surface with dense whitish cystoliths and sparsely brownish-cobwebby, puberulous on midribs but otherwise glabrous, lower surface cobwebby, densely tomentose.
• Thyrse about 8.5–11 cm long, 3–5 cm across, narrowly paniculate ; peduncles furnished with tendrils at about the middle, tomentose; pedicels 1.25–1.75 mm long, glabrous; calyx short, 0.2 mm long, 0.5 mm wide; petals 5, calyptrate; stamens 5, filaments 1.5–1.75 mm long, anthers oblong, 0.5 mm long, 1 mm across.
• This species is closely affiliated with V. quinquangularis Rehder and V. lanata Roxb. However, it can easily be distinguished from these two species by its thinner, much narrower and triangular-ovate leaves.

• 台灣 : Endemic, frequently found at low to medium altitudes throughout the island.
